Relacionando

Population growth

We are studing with population growth. We needed to watch 4 videos, take screenshots and explain them.

Video 1

This is explaining that a lot of population can bring problems to the environment,
such as more food, we need to destroy places
to build houses, we need to produce more and this produces more carbon dioxide, etc.

This mean that first we need to be responsible with the environment
because we destroy it, for example, when we cut toomany trees or when we pollute.
When we’re responsible, the environment would be better.

Video 2

This picture shows that in 8 C. E. there were less than 1 billion people.
Most of them where in south Asia or Europe.

However, this picture shows than in 2050 there are supposed to be 9 billion people.
This mean that in 34 years, the population can grow from 7
billion to 9 billion and we will need to duplicate our resources.

Video 3

Here we can see that in 1000 there were 0.3 billion people. Most of them were
in China, India and the rest of Asia. There were less people in North and Latin America.

On the other hand, in 2011 there were 7 billion people.
As in the other picture, most of them were in China, India and the
rest of Asia and there were less people in North and Latin America.
There were more births and more death than in 1000.

Video 4

In this population pyramid from 1993, we can see the population of Canada,
China, Japan, Russia, Rwanda and USA. In Canada, there are more people
in the reproductive area like in China, Japan, Russia and USA.
On the other hand, in Rwanda, there are more people in the pre reproductive area.

In this population pyramid from 2016, we can see that the population has changed.
In Canada, China, Japan and USA there are more people in the reproductive
area and in the post reproductive area. In Rwanda, there are more in the pre
reproductive area and in the reproductive area; and in Russia,
there are more in the reproductive area and more women in the post reproductive area.

Grecia

Estuvimos trabajando con la civilización arcaica griega. Sobre ello, tuvimos que realizar una actividad.

A lovely girl...

In groups we needed to make a story about a topic Julia told us: action, love or suspence and we needed to include some elements:

  • A pink dress
  • A flurry black monster
  • A fairy
  • A hot summer in 1745
I made it with Aylén and Emilia and we needed to make it about suspence.

A lovely girl...

It was a foggy dark night, when Elizabeth Evans was murdered. The detective, Michael Jordan, suspected of the father, Richard Evans. But let's start from the beginning...

It was a very hot summer, in 1745, when Stella McCartney was giving birth her three beautiful triples in her poor house in front of the sea. All the family was very happy, Elizabeth was cleaning all the house to receive the three new babies and Stella’s husband, Richard, was nervous enough to have a heart attack. He was wearing a black pair of trousers, an old pair of brown shoes and a white shirt that match with his old aspect; he had brown eyes and short brown hair. On the other hand, her beautiful wife, Stella, had a curly blond hair, with big green eyes; making her younger. Elizabeth, her daughter, wasn’t as beautiful as her, she was like her father in appearance but that doesn't change that Elizabeth was as generous as the mother.

Daughter and father were waiting in the living room, when a doctor came out of the bedroom, with a very sad face. Minutes later the little family understood why . Only one of the three babies survived! Poor Stella, she was crying with the new integrant of the family in her arms, nobody never knows if the tears were of happiness or sadness.

Two years later, the younger baby of the family, Katherine Evans, but known by her mother Kate, had already 2 years, the little girl loved to talk and play with anyone at anytime. Also, Kate had the most beautiful and generous mother, but her mother with the passing years her big green eyes started to be tired and started to lose that characteristic brightness on them. What was happening to her? She was dying of cancer, but nobody knew it. She went away when his husband smoke, this made her cough. She knew she was ill, but he wanted to keep it secret.

Three years later… Stella is already dead. Everybody was very depressed, but Kate was the one that suffered it more. When her mother died, something changed. She was a little girl of five years old, who nobody was paying attention. She wanted someone to play, to laugh. When it was Kate birthday, Jack and Rachel appeared. Only she, could see them, something wrong was happening to her since her mother died. After talking with his new friends, Kate discovered that they were her sister and brother they died when she was born, also that they couldn’t see, they were blind. That’s the reason why, Jack and Rachel got inside the two favourite toys of Katherine; a little pink fairy and a flurry black monster.

September 21st, 1750.

It was a foggy dark night, when Elizabeth Evans was murdered. Elizabeth died and nobody knew how or why. The only person who realized this was her boyfriend Michael Jordan. They met each other, in a sunny day, when Michael accidentally push Elizabeth with his hurry, he was late for his job. Jordan wanted to kept walking, if he was late one more time, he would be the fired. But, he couldn't let that girl in floor. Michael got closer and helped her. However, this wasn’t the typical love at first seen, Elizabeth instead of saying “Thank you” or “You saved my life” she said “Stupid! In your house taught you to push young ladies!?” Michael started to laugh so hard that the people around saw them like if they were crazy. At the end they worked in the same place, so they saw each other all the days until they fell in love.

When Elizabeth was murdered, Michael became the detective who investigated the crime. He suspected in Elizabeth's dad, Richard. Because Richard went on a business travel the same day of the murdered. Richard never came back, because he knew the truth. Why he didn’t tell it to anyone? Because nobody would trust him.

Here is the truth, the killer is Katherine Evans. Maybe you are wondering how or why a little girl of five years old would kill her own sister? A short answer Jack and Rachel, they convinced Kate of killing her sister. They told her she could be with them and her mother like a family again. Kate believed in them, she went with her mother again… and nobody apart of us knows it. Everyone think that as art of magic the Evan vanished in the air.

The end.

A world we can't see

We needed to make a poem about a traveller or about "the phantom listeners" from "The listeners" by Walter de la Mare. I made it about the phantoms with Aylén.

A world we can't see

"Is there anybody there?" said the Traveller,
While we were standing next to the bookshelves.
"How could he see our house?"
We asked ourselves.

It was a confusing situation,
"We're here" I screemed
But the words didn't come out of my mouth
Was that all a dream?

"Is there anybody there?" he repeated
We didn't know what to do.
It was difficult to think
Although we were two.

"Tell them I came, and no one answered,
That I kept my word." he said.
"You must lead your horse away"
"You don't see we're dead?"
"Who are we going to tell?"
